This 8-week inclusive ceramics and pottery course is designed to provide participants with a hands-on experience to explore various hand building techniques, glazing techniques and gain a deeper understanding of working with clay.
- Week one will be dedicated to an introduction to the studio, and participants will learn the basics of pinch pot making and mark making for decoration.
- Week two will focus on slab-building techniques and mark-making for decoration.
- Week three will cover coil-building techniques and using underglazes on the items made in the previous week.
- Week four will be devoted to glaze techniques on previously bisque items.
- Week five will allow participants to use their previously learned skills to develop their own pieces.
- Weeks six and seven will continue to build on what has been learned previously.
- In week eight, participants will finish up the course by completing the glazing of their pieces.
